Before You Apply...

Please agree to the following rules to be considered for review from Revu. Failure to do so will result in a thrown-out application.

The Rules

  1. Your site should be up to full capacity, or as much as it will be for quite some time. The whole point of a review is to get constructive feedback from what you have worked on for the past… however amount of time. As a general rule, your site shouldn’t be under a “Construction” or “On Hiatus” phase.
  2. During our review period, please do not make major changes to your site. Minor updates are okay, but we will get confused if you make radical changes during the review. Your site will be done with, in more than likely no more than a week, once you apply. If it might take longer than this, we will contact you directly. If you do need to make a big change, please contact us as soon as possible. Email Josh at joshjjackson@gmail.com immediately.
  3. You must have one of our link buttons on your site, or something to that effect. A text link is acceptable. No matter what kind of link, it must be seen on a majority of your pages on your site, and easy to see. Points are awarded for this in your review, so to get your points, please do this BEFORE you apply for a review. If there is no link back at all, and we start the review, that will turn it sour… Nevertheless, this is a sink or swim points category. If it is super hard to find, or not there at all, you will get a 0 out of 5. For link buttons, please see the link at the bottom of this page.
  4. Your site can not go over a PG-13 rating. I believe you understand, but please not sites that are filled with provocative images and a large amount of curse language.
  5. Your site can be in any language, but you must speak English, Spanish or French to communicate with us. If all your site is in a language other than those three, we may contact you a bit to ask some questions.
  6. Any type of site is fine with us, excluding blogs that simply have your words… You also may have any type of host, but frequent ads will lower your overall score.
  7. You can apply to be reviewed more than once, but please limit it to once a month, and your site must have numerous changes from the last time. Your new review will be a new post, but will have a link to your old review.
  8. This goes without saying, but I guess we have to include it–you need to be on the staff or the owner of the site that is being reviewed.
  9. These reviews are meant to help you, and to make your website known. Please do not be mad at any of the staff if blunt comments are made. We are simply trying to help you. No one is perfect, and we certainly aren’t. By the way, if you have read all this, good job! You like the word mariposa. So, if you want to post a comment about your review, go ahead! The whole purpose of our site is to share our knowledge and learn from you–we aren’t perfect either!
  10. We will be looking at your coding. We pledge that we will not copy nor horde it. We may simply quote a few lines in your review.
