Takedown Parade

Information:

First Impression (10/10)
The first thing I said when I saw your site was ,”wow.” I love the header image, and the colour scheme of your layout was very pleasing on the eyes. Another bonus was that your site loaded within seconds, and it looks awesome in both Firefox2 and IE 7, with a screen resolution of 1024X768. One thing I also liked upon my first look was how condensed your menu was. I like how it was neatly placed on the top, definitely a bonus to anyone who is viewing your site for the first time.

The Layout–Design (19/20)
So lets start from top to bottom. The header image looks amazing and there’s no way you can tell it is saved in .jpg format at first glance. So often I see people trying to save their header images in .bmp or .png so that the image looks better. I commend you for saving it in .jpg because it takes less time to load . As I pointed out before I liked how condensed the menu was. The text on your updates is also written in a legible colour. That’s definitely an added bonus because it’s a lot easier on the eyes. Another point I’d like to highlight is how you put your affiliates at the bottom of the page, instead of placing them to the right side. So often I see sites with menus to the right or left, so I salute you for doing something original. It’s also good to see that all your links are up and running. My only comment here is that when you hover over the links they turn white, and it’s hard to read the link against the light purple background. Other than that, good job on the layout.

The Layout–Coding (8/10)
Not bad, the coding is neat and organized. Your html skills are very good. The major problem I noticed was that there was no doctype. This is something very crucial to add because it defines what version of (x) HTML you webpage is using. This info is used by browsers or other tools processing your webpage/site. So remember to add something like this to the very first part of your code:

Now on to your css. Again it’s well organized, which is very good. I only have one comment to make... In your css you have:

font-family: arial;}

It is important that you have alternate fonts ,such as sans-serif, written down beside arial.

Content (38/40)
My favourite part of the review process XD. Ok here’s the breakdown:
  1. Quality (10/10): Excellent job. Your layouts are beautiful and your icons are really really good.
  2. Updates (5/5): You update very often, which shows that you have a lot of commitment to your site. Good job.
  3. Quantity (5/5): For having a fairly new site you have a lot of content.
  4. Site Grammar (5/5): I see no grammatical errors ^^ *cheers*
  5. Creativity (8/10): I like the fact that you have both anime/manga graphics icons as well as nature and music icons too. However, I’d think you could attract more visitors if you had some pngs that were nature/music related other than anime. Same goes for your wallpapers.
  6. Our link (5/5): I found it 3 times^^ Thanks for that^^

Your Special Content (5/5)
So your special content is repairing cut manga scans. I’ve never seen a tutorial for this before, so I think it’s very original. I was amazed at how simple you made it seem. Honestly, I’ve never edited cut manga scans in my life >< but your tutorial made it seem so simple that I think I might just give it a try. Your explanations were very precise, and the screen shots helped me to follow along with what you were explaining. Good job on this tutorial.

An Overall Wrap-Up (14/15)
THANK YOU FOR MAKING BRUSHES AVAILABLE IN ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 6 +. Nowadays the brushes are usually created for 7+ and I happen to have photoshop 6. ^^

Overall you have an AWESOME SITE. There are a few minor things to fix, but other than that it looks good. You are really committed towards your site, and this in turn is displayed throughout the stuff your site offers. Congratulations , and give yourself a pat on the back.
